The first-ever National TB Prevalence Survey conducted between August 2013 and September 2014 at a cost of 4.6 million U.S. dollars confirmed that bacteriologically TB was found to be in 638 per 100,000 of the population. Prevalence was higher among males, HIV- positive participants, those aged between 35 to 44 and those from urban areas.
